Form and Guidelines (How to Apply)

Admission to Bachelor programs are mostly offered once a year only for Fall Semester (in July/ August) and for MS/M.Phil Programs twice a Year for Fall (July/ August) and Spring (December/January) semesters. The schedule is announced in the admission advertisement in the leading News Papers and on FJWU website/social media. Candidates are advised to carefully read Admission Criteria and Instructions in the admission advertisements available on our website (when the admissions are open) before applying.

  1. The University accepts online applications only for admissions through our online Admission Portal on our website. Therefore, during the application process, the candidates must sign up/register on the portal for creating their account, then fill the online application and upload electronic copies of their documents. There is no requirement to send hard copies of the documents/receipts. 
  2. Once the candidate enters all her information in all the required tabs/sections and uploads the required documents on the portal, she can apply in her desired programs by clicking Apply to Programs button.
  3. She can generate the Challan and pay the amount of Application Processing Fee mentioned on it. Application processing fee (non-refundable) can be paid via any online banking app using kuickpay only. The fee paid through any other means is not acceptable. The application is not accepted/processed without this fee payment within the due date.
  4. After the payment and submission of application, the candidate receives an auto-generated email with the list of programs she applied for.
  5. All applications are automatically considered for Regular/Open Merit Program. In addition to it the candidate can select the quota (if applicable) for Disability, Minorities or FJWU Employees’ Children. Candidates for Bachelors Programs can also select Self-Support Program option as well. If they want to avail Hostel or Transport facility, they can select the option for it.
  6. Candidates for Bachelors Program can apply for both Regular and Self Support Programs. Fee structure for both these programs is available on our website. They are considered for both Programs. However, once admitted on the merit of the Self-Support Program, candidates do not have the option to move/transfer into the Regular Program at any stage of their academic session.
  7. Candidates awaiting results must submit their online applications within the due date. While filling the online application the candidates awaiting their results must mention their Part I result in their intermediate academic qualification and also must check the box of Result pending. Results declared after the submission of the online application can only be entered in the portal by the candidate herself by the notified date on our website for entering the late results, if any.
  8. For Undergraduate Programs, applicants awaiting results (only those who have already appeared in the exams) can also apply for admission, and if they fulfill all the requirements for admission, they are given provisional admission on the basis of the intermediate Part-I results. These admissions are confirmed later on after the declaration of the Part-II results, and subject to the fulfilment of the minimum eligibility requirements for the respective degree program.
  9. Candidates awaiting results must submit their complete result within 15 days after the declaration of the result, and if they fail to secure the required marks, their admission is treated as cancelled immediately without any further notice, and continuation of studies is considered unlawful. Applicants securing straight pass grades with the required percentage only are eligible for the continuation of studies.
  10. Any kind of tampering in documents leads to permanent disqualification.
  11. Candidates having any foreign degrees/ diploma/ results in the form of GPA/Grade points are required to upload an equivalence certificate stating percentage/marks. They are considered for admission only when they provide their equivalence certificate, subject to availability of seats and merit.
  12. All admissions are granted provisionally and are subject to finalization/confirmation only after submission of SSC and HSSC certificates by the candidates, duly attested by IBCC, within 02 weeks of admission.
  13. All information / Admission Updates and Merit Lists are displayed on the University website. No letters/calls/messages are sent for test and interview (where applicable)/ admission offers/commencement of classes, etc.
  14. The schedule for displaying the Merit Lists is available on our website after the closing date/deadline to apply for admission.
  15. An open house for the information of candidates and their parents is held as per the schedule mentioned in the admission advertisement on the website.
  16. Different scholarships for deserving students and on-campus hostel/transport facilities are also available.
