Established in 2015, the Department of Law at FJWU is committed to achieving the highest standards of professional competence through academic excellence, critical thinking, ethical values, and interdisciplinary legal research. It aims to prepare competent female law graduates equipped with analytical skills and a strong sense of justice to serve the legal profession and society.
Brief Introduction: The Department of Law offers a four-year Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programme that delivers a rigorous and comprehensive legal education. In line with HEC guidelines, it integrates interdisciplinary general and foundational courses to broaden intellectual perspectives and situate legal study within wider social contexts. The programme introduces diverse approaches to legal scholarship and critically examines the role of law in contemporary society, while building a strong foundation in jurisprudence, civil and criminal law, and national and international legal systems, covering both substantive and procedural dimensions with practical orientation. Mission
The mission of Department of Law is to inculcate a sense of balance and accommodation which is essentially required for upholding and advocating the cause of justice across the entire spectrum of societal as well as professional dispensation. The department’s educational endeavour is geared towards preparing legal professionals who are not only well acquainted with the basics of the legal discipline, ethical excellence, critical and analytical skills but are also adequately equipped with the legal research abilities.
