FJWU-USEFP Project Team Delivers Faculty Professional Development Training to Faculty of Women University Swabi

Project Team of Fatima Jinnah Women University delivered a three days extensive Faculty Professional Development Workshop at Women University Swabi.    The workshop is a part of an ongoing University Partnerships Grant Program funded by US Government and administered by United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan. Faculty training focused on the pedagogic research skills as a way to advance and extend research in universities. The training modules are based on the newest emerging approaches in research practices considering the inclusion of global perspective.  Prof Dr Shahana Urooj Kazmi, Vice Chancellor Women University Swabi inaugurated the workshop. Dr Kazmi addressed the closing ceremony of the workshop appreciating the effectiveness of the training program.

The trainers of the program include Dr Saima Hamid, Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Women University. Dr. Saima Hamid delivered training on the ethical considerations and associated challenges in social sciences research. Dr Aneela Maqsood (Project PI, Associate Professor of Applied Psychology) delivered training on emerging action research models including intervention research. Dr Adeela Rehman (Co-PI, Dept of Sociology) trained the faculty on grant writing.  Dr. Shazia Hashmat (Dept of Communication & Media Studies) talked on qualitative research approaches and analysis. Dr. Shaheryar Naveed (Dept of Public Administration) delivered training on content analysis and implementation science. The team includes partner trainers from United States of America including Prof Michael Hirsch and Dr Sadaf Sajjad. US trainers talked about incorporating global aspect in research and developing global competencies among academicians and researchers.
