FJWU Team Reaches to Universities of Punjab and Federal Capital for Faculty Professional Development Trainings
Project Team of Fatima Jinnah Women University delivered Faculty Professional Development Workshop to University faculty of Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabad, Peer Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, and Kohsar University Murree. The workshop was hosted by PMAS Arid Agriculture University funded by US Government under a University Partnerships Grants Program executed by USEFP. The workshop titled "Pedagogic Research: Advancing Methods, Analysis and Practices" focuses on innovative and emerging approaches in research with specific emphasis on grant writing, mix-method research and implementing evidence-based implementation Science. The workshop modules are based on the need analysis of the existing research practices in Pakistani universities.
The project team includes Vice Chancellor Dr. Saima Hamid as project advisor and trainer. Dr. Saima Hamid talked on ethical considerations in social sciences research. Dr. Aneela Maqsood (Associate Professor of Applied Psychology) is project PI and trainer. Other trainers include Dr. Adeela Rehman (Co-PI, Dept of Sociology), Dr. Shazia Hashmat (Dept of Communication & Media Studies) and Dr. Shaheryar Naveed (Dept of Public Administration). The team includes partner trainers from United States of America including Prof. Dr. Michael Hirsch and Dr. Sadaf Sajjad. US trainers talked about inclusion of global aspect in research and developing global competencies among academicians and researchers.
