M.Phil. in Economics

Degree Title: M.Phil. in Economics Attendance: Full Time Program Duration: 2-4 years Eligibility Criteria: Minimum 2.5 CGPA in Bachelor / BS in Economics (16 year of education) Or relevant subject comprising Commerce, Accounting and Finance, Economics and Finance, Management Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, Development studies, Public Policy, Agriculture Economics and Econometrics. Minimum 50% score in GAT General or Departmental Subject Specific Test. All additional information may be accessed FJWU MS MPhil & PhD Policy Manual.pdf Degree Completion Requirements (one point per line) To become eligible for the award of an MPhil degree in Economics, a student must satisfy the following requirements:

  1. The program consists of 32 semester credits.
  2. Students must complete all courses in the university core, general education and program-specific elective curriculum.
  3. Students shall not be permitted to opt for additional credit hours apart from their regular course load (15-18 credit hours/5-6 courses).
  4. Student is only eligible to opt for research once they have completed the coursework (26 cr. Hrs.) with a minimum 2.5 CGPA.
  5. Two consecutive probations will lead to termination of registration as per university policy.
  6. Student must comply the attendance as prescribed by the examination office policy.
