FJWU Ranked 8th in Top 50 Global Universities in WURI Ranking, 2021

Fatima Jinnah Women University receives another feather in its cap for being ranked 8th in Top 50 Global Universities and 101 in Top 200 World Universities with Real Impact (WURI) Rankings 2021. It is noteworthy that FJWU is one of the only two Pakistani universities, which made it to the Top 50 international universities ranking in Crisis Management. Fatima Jinnah Women University gained this recognition for its project titled, “Education Outreach: Dynamic Strategies in the Crisis of Covid-19 Pandemic”

FJWU achieved this rank under the dynamic and agile leadership of the worthy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Saima Hamid, for devising a holistic transformation plan which encompassed formulating academic and evaluation policies, taking quick and responsive administrative measures, conducting trainings for teachers, staff and students, implementing academic and personal interventions e.g. academic advising and online counselling, and approving, monitoring and evaluating the delivery of online/hybrid education through a rigorous quality assurance mechanism based on global standard for online education – which were designed and implemented by university faculty members and administrative staff to face the severe challenges posed by the pandemic.

FJWU participated for the first time in World Universities with Real Impact (WURI) in 2020, and its achievement as a top 10 global university is a testimony to the application of best practices for transforming higher education to not only survive but thrive in uncertain times, and serves as a roadmap for public sector universities to adapt to their contextual realities.
