World Suicide Prevention Day & Launch of National Centre for Research on Suicide Prevention at FJWU
In recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day, Fatima Jinnah Women University will mark the observance of the Day on Sep 9th, 2021, with the theme “Creating Hope Through Action”. The event will run virtual in collaboration with Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning (PILL), Parliamentary Task Force on SDGs and University of Manchester, UK. On the day, University will launch the establishment of National Centre for Research on Suicide Prevention in collaboration with Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning along with Global Mental Health Research Group, University of Manchester (UK) as partner.
Mr. Riaz Fatyana (MNA/ Convener National Parliamentary Taskforce on SDGs) as Chief Guest will launch the establishment of first “National Centre for Research on Suicide Prevention” in Pakistan at Fatima Jinnah Women University (Rawalpindi). The Centre aims to provide research based information for informed policy making and to promote the promotion of healthy responsible behaviors in the society.
