As the Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Women University, it gives me great pleasure to extend a warm welcome from the platform of All Pakistan Women Universities Consortium. Our consortium aims to strengthen the collaboration among women universities in Pakistan, to achieve excellence in higher education for women and to enhance their development and empowerment. With the recent inclusion of 10 more universities, we are proud to have a network of like-minded institutions that are committed to this noble cause. I commend the efforts of all the founding members and the new institutions that have joined us, and I believe that by sharing resources, finding grounds of mutual interests, and planning for the future, we can make a significant contribution to the higher education of women in our country. I would also like to express my gratitude to the British Council and the Higher Education Commission for their support in this endeavor. Together, we can create a conducive environment for women faculty and students and ensure their retention in the field of higher education. I look forward to annual consortium meetings with our partners and to finding new mechanisms of documenting our efforts.
