Admissions Open: MS /M. Phil. /Ph.D. Programs Spring 2023
FJWU offers./MS/M.Phil. / Ph.D. Programs, consistent with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) criteria/requirements. These programs require full time student enrollment for course work.
For admission in MS/M.Phil. applicants are required to have:
- For Semester System:
Minimum CGPA 2.5 out of 4.0 and 3.1 out of 5 in Masters / BS 4 years from any HEC recognized university /institution.
- For Annual System:
- 1st division in Masters/BS 4 years from any HEC recognized university/institution for all Departments except English.
- 2nd division is acceptable for English.
- Minimum score of 50 in GAT General Test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) is required (except where specific test will be taken by respective Departments). 50 % score in case of departmental test is required.
- NOC from the employer (if applicable)
N.B. Preference will be given to the students who have research background.

Note: MS/M.Phil. classes in any degree program will not be initiated, if the number of enrolled students is less than 5.
For admission in Ph. D. applicants are required to have:
- Minimum CGPA 3.0 out of 4.0 and 3.75 out of 5.0 (in the Semester System) or First Division (in the Annual System) in M. Phil/M.S/Equivalent from any HEC recognized university.
- Minimum score of 60 in GAT subject test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS), or ETS, USA (in the area of specialization chosen at the PhD level) is required for all Degree Programs except Education and Public Administration where Departmental test is required. 70% score in case of departmental test is required.
- Supervisor’s Consent Letter
- NOC from the employer (if applicable).
N.B. Preference will be given to the students who have completed MS/M. Phil with Research Thesis.

- 02 % quota is reserved each for disabled / special persons and minorities.
FJWU Prospectus 2022-23 and Admission Application Forms are available on our website. Candidates can download the forms, fill it and attach all the required documents (mentioned in the form). These forms must be submitted in the following authorized branches of First Women Bank Limited (FWBL) along with the application processing fee (Rs. 1200/- per form Form):
- Rawalpindi (Al-Amin Branch, Saddar and Chandni Chowk Branch, Murree Road)
- Islamabad (Blue Area Branch)
Candidates from other cities can send their forms to the University through courier along with the bank draft of Rs. 1200/- in favor of Treasurer, Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi.
- Candidates can apply for one department/degree program only on one Form. Those desiring to apply for more than one department/Degree Program may do so by applying on separate forms.
- i) Candidates are required to complete both pages of Annexure provided in the Form and retain the Student’s Copy, duly signed by the Bank authorities, as a proof of the submission and as a reference document for any later queries/submissions. Candidates are advised to ensure that all documents submitted with form are duly entered in the annexure, and verified in the Annexure by Bank authorities.
ii) Results declared after the submission of form/s, can only be submitted in the Admission Office, FJWU by the notified date on our web-site.
- Incomplete applications and /or applications received after the due date will not be entertained.
- Any kind of tampering in documents will lead to permanent disqualification.
- All information regarding Entry Test (if any), Interviews (if any) and Merit Lists would be displayed at University Notice Board and web-site. No Call letters would be sent for test/interviews/admission offer/commencement of classes, etc.
- Schedule for displaying the list for Departmental Specific written test (where applicable) / Interviews / Merit Lists will be available on our website in the 3rd week of February 2023.
- At least 50 % marks in interview would be required to be considered for Merit List.
- Form Processing Fee (Rs. 50/- per Form) would be collected by the First Women Bank at the time of form submission.
Last date for submission of forms is February 6, 2023.
