Call for Papers
The Journal of Gender and=
Social
Issues (JGSI) is a research journal published on a biannual basis by Fatima Jinnah
Women University,
Rawalpindi. The
JGSI provides a forum for the dissemination of findings related to Gender a=
nd
Social issues from related academic disciplines. The journal aims to enhance
the understanding of social, environmental and cultural factors affecting
individuals and society. The journal welcomes articles from all disciplines
allied to social and gender issues.
Importance is given to original and empirical research. However,
comprehensive and up-to-date review articles and book reviews are also
considered for publication.
It was decided by the Edi=
torial
Committee that in the year 2009, =
there
will be a special issue publication of the Journal to celebrate the
University’s 10th anniversary, The Decade of Excellence. The Committee seeks submiss=
ions
for its upcoming issue.
The Faculty members, staff and alumni of Fatima Jinnah
Women University
are welcome to submit their articles for publication in the Journal of Gend=
er
and Social Issues. Manuscripts should be (both in a hard copy and a soft co=
py)
together with an abstract of 250 words according to the Publication Manual =
of
the American Psychological Association (5th edition). A separate page should include the
paper’s title and the author’s name, address and telephone
number. Hard copy of the manu=
script
should be sent to Dr. Rukhsana Hasan, Assistant Editor, Biannual Journal of

and a soft copy should be sent to journal=
@fjwu.edu.pk
till March 24, 2009. The manuscript should not be under
consideration elsewhere or previously published.
