University has around 1200 students from a diversity
of ages, backgrounds and cultures; this creates
a busy, stimulating and interesting environment.
The University aims to offer facilities for
leisures and recreation to enable students to
make the most of the many benefits and opportunities
university life has to offer. The
University offers part time employment-internship
for students on campus. Fatima Jinnah Women’s
University is committed to provide students
with the resources they need and to making those
resources readily available for students’ own
use.
FJWU runs competitive sports for students
and supports more than ten students club and
societies. First rate facilities plus a full
calendar of events ensures that the students
enjoy a full and varied campus social life.
Students can also organize their own events.

provide counseling to our students so that they
can understand themselves as well as a relationship
is developed between the student and the teacher.
Students can go to their counselor and discuss
any problem regarding their families or their
studies. Students can attend one-to-one interviews
or regular group session. |

library is equipped with the latest books, journal & research material etc. Fatima Jinnah Women
University is housed in a building with rich
heritage. The largest room once was a library
with thousands of priceless books. At Fatima
Jinnah Women University we are committed to
establish a library, which would eventually
be the best in the world. We have taken the
first step and the process will continue. The
number of books in the library in the past six
months has increased from zero to 5000.

Fatima
Jinnah Women University has received books,
computers, CD-ROM, videos and furniture from
American Center, World Bank and USIS. The library
will also acquire a computer system, which will
be linked with the USIS computers to receive
relevant information from abroad. The Computers
installed in the library will provide
the Internet facility to the students & staff in order to retrieve relevant information.
CD-ROMs are available in the library. Books
on the Internet is also available as per requirement. |

computer technology. Computer is a kind of technology,
which is developing very fast and the previous
decade, bears witness to this fact. Fatima Jinnah
Women University in collaboration with the Punjab
Information Technology Board bears a model ITC
at the FJWU for students & professionals. |

Sorts
are a major part of an educational Institution.
Fatima Jinnah Women University has one tennis
court, Basketball court, and Badminton facilities.
We have approval of establishing a gym with swimming
pool facilities. We want our students to excel
in all fields of their lives. |

The
First Women Bank has opened their branch for
facilitating the University administration,
staff and students. The students can deposit
their dues in FWB FJWU Branch. This will equally
facilitate not only the boarders but also the
day scholars. |

The
University clinic provides basic health facilities
to more than 2000 University students and around
200 staff members. A well experienced Medical
doctor with diverse public health experience
takes care of the University Clinic and the
Day Care Centre.The medical records of all the
University employees and the students living
in the hostels is being maintained. The Clinic
also organises blood camps in collaboration
with the Pakistan Red Crescent Society and Vaccination
camps against common infectious diseases like
Hepatits B and Typhoid fever etc. The Counseling
of the students is also being done by the University
Medical Officer. The University Clinic is actively
involved in the organising Health Awareness
Programmes on emerging health issues by holding
talks , seminars and workshops for the students
and the staff of the University.
Fatima Jinnah Women University, a women friendly
University has a Day Care Centre for the children
of married students and the staff of the University.
The Day Care has a capacity of holding 11 to
12 children with the three trained baby sitters
taking care of the children.The Day Care is
equipped with all the basic facilities which
can make a child comfortable and at HOME.

The University has Day care facility
available for children of students and staff.
Mothers can study/work with the satisfaction that
the child is being looked after. the Doctor is
overall incharge of Day care with a fully trained
maid. |

The University has a large cafeteria with the facility of
providing snacks and regular meals at discounted
rates. The cafeteria committee makes sure that
food stuff is hygienically handled. So that the
students can relax between their classes. |

Internet
facility is available not only for the students
but also for the faculty & staff under the
vigilance of I.T. staff.

Shops, Telephone, FAX/ E-Mail, Telegraph & Postal services.
For
a well balanced and rounded personality of its
students FJWU offers them a diverse range of curricular & extra curricular activities. The aim is
to provide enriching environment of academic abilities
as well as polishing their innate talent through
seminars, colloquiums, talks, debates, workshops.
Other activities which depict the ideology and
religious feeling like Qirat/Naat competition,
Milad are organised side by side with study tours,
walks, educational films and musical fund raisers |
