The Fatima Jinnah School of Management Sciences at FJWU is global in curriculum and student composition, foster technological literacy, and pragmatic business/managerial skills

The Department of Business Administration of FJWU provides high-quality comprehensive education in all popular areas of business and thus equips its students with standard skills and knowledge necessary to assume high-level responsibilities of business leaders, enterprise managers, financial executives and marketing experts. By following positive reinforcement approach of teaching, students are trained to develop innovative thinking, creative planning and rapid adjustment to the prevailing work environment. The study programs of Business Administration are designed to be such integrated programs as enable students to become leaders, thinkers, and innovators and to be able to apply their skills, analytical tools and critical knowledge in diverse careers. On successful completion of a highly comprehensive curriculum, Business Administration students achieve competence required in identifying problems, assessing risks and alleviating constraints. The Business Administration Department was established in 1998 and seven batches have been passed out.

FJWU has also launched its BBA Study Program in 2005. The program emphasizes the foundations of business administration, business policy formulation, program development, implementation and valuation, human resource, and business finance. It is designed to prepare graduates with the requisite knowledge, skills, and values to effectively apply various business principles and tools in the public or private organizational setting. Students will develop powerful leadership skills enabling them to successfully manage complex business programs in the following areas:

  1. Human Resource Management
  2. Finance
  3. Marketing 
A comprehensive port folio of courses in Accountancy, IT, Economics Finance, Marketing and Management is offered to students enabling them to specialize in the following areas:

  • Management with emphasis on Business Management and Human Resource Management
  • Finance
  • Marketing (Inclusive of Hotel and Tourism Management)

For getting the MBA Degree, the students are required to do internship in Summer Semester, and submit a report. It is also compulsory for students to participate in community work which is preferred to be done in Hospitals and in NGOs committed to promote the welfare of society

BBA
To receive the BBA Degree, students must complete all courses in the Foundation Curriculum, the summer internship, the graduate core curriculum, and graduate elective courses. Specifically, a student must complete 130 credit hours as specified below:

  • 24 credit hours of general education courses.
  • 25 credit hours of compulsory courses.
  • 33 Discipline Specific Foundation Courses
  • 36 Major courses including research project/Internship
  • 12 Elective within the Major
