Education & Information technology are infect two interrelated pre-requisites that a country needs to excel in all fields and disciplines for its survival in the 21^st century. The excellence achieved in the fields of defense, business, planning, medicine, and industry, social infrastructure, Engineering & research differentiate between developed & developing nations.The time has come to review & change the stereotyped opinion prevailing to date in Pakistan that the field of information technology is restricted merely to the male sex.

IT is a kind of technology, which is developing very fast and the previous decade, bears witness to this fact. Realizing the importance of this modern technology, the main aim of FJWU is to equip the women with this modern technology.

• To produce women competent in IT software development, training and teaching.
• To produce women who are trained for and can compete in the field of IT as IT trainers.

Fatima Jinnah Women University is ours and we belong to Fatima Jinnah Women University. FJWU aboast a well-equipped state of Art computer labs and conference auditoriums with the support of Govt. of Punjab and BAS computers. It is the second institution in Pakistan, which houses its own Information Technology Center.

The FJWU provides excellent computing facilities as it has five Information Technology Labs fully equipped with all facilities. The labs are equipped with different number of personal computers. The configuration of computers is Pentium III. All the computers are linked via computer network.

FJWU provides stimulating intellectual environment with internationally renowned based standards for the creation of curricula & learning environments for the best possible preparation for a successful professional career.

FJWU at its infancy made it compulsory for students of the University to attend the course "Introduction to Computers" in their first semester.

Enrolled students of the University have free access to computers from morning 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The ITC in FJWU is also utilized by various departments such as Education, Economics, Fine Arts, MBA & MPA etc for the partial fulfillment of their courses related to computers.

To equip the Women with this modern technology. The University also conducts workshops of different duration for both enrolled students and guest females. With the help of these workshops both basic and advanced training of various IT courses is given.
