The first International Workshop on “Training the Trainers: Women in Higher Education Management” was successfully held in November 2002. It was sponsored by British Council and Association of Commonwealth Universities. Four resource persons from Commonwealth countries that is Australia, Canada and UK joined two local resource persons to coordinate. Participants from both public and private universities attended including representatives from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The distinguishing feature of the workshop is that it is the first academic activity of Commonwealth in Pakistan.

A two-day training workshop on ‘Women in Higher Education Management’ began at the Bahauddin Zakaria University, Multan, on April 04, 2003. The resource persons from the Centre for Executive Development, Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, are conducting the workshop in collaboration with the British Council, Islamabad. The participants are the women academics of Bahauddin Zakaria University Multan, lslamia University Bahawalpur and Agriculture University, Faisalabad.
