When will Admissions open?
Ans. From June-Aug

If admissions have been advertised then in which newspapers?
Ans. Admissions have been advertised in all the leading newspapers.

How many programs are being offered at master’s level?
Ans. There are about 13 programs at postgraduate level

What are the prerequisites for each program?

Ans. Pre requisite for each program is as follows.

What is the time duration for master’s degree?
Ans. The Time duration for Master’s degree is almost 2 ½ year.

How many semesters are there at master’s level?
Ans. There are five semesters for master’s degree.

What is the required percentage?
Ans. Minimum II division is required to get admission at master’s level, and Ist division is required for BSE (Bachelor in software engineering), While II division is required for BCA (Bachelor in computer arts) and other Bachelor programs on self-support basis.

Can the result-awaited students apply for admissions?
Ans. Yes, they can apply but they have to provide the detailed mark sheet at the time of interview.


From where can prospectus be obtained?
Ans. Master’s forms with prospectus can be obtained from the branches of First Women Bank, whereas Bachelor’s forms with prospectus can be obtained from Bank Alfalah.

What is the price for each prospectus?
Ans. The price for each prospectus is Rs.650/- approximately.

How many programs are offered at graduate level?
Ans. There are 7 programs at graduate level.

In which two programs are on regular basis, these are
· Bachelor in Software engineering
· Bachelor in Computer arts

While five programs are offered on self-support basis, these are
· Bachelor in Economics
· Bachelor in Education
· Bachelor in English
· Bachelor in Environmental Sciences
· Bachelor in Fine Arts

How long will it take to complete graduation degree?
Ans. Graduation degree will be completed in four years.

What is the last date for getting the prospectus?
Ans. The last date for purchase / submission of forms is given in the related advertisement which is available on the web site.

14. How many seats are available for each program?
Ans. There are 50 seats for the following programs
· Behavioral sciences
· Business Administration
· Communication Sciences
· Computer Sciences
· Defense & Diplomatic Studies
· Economics
· Education
· Environmental Science
· Public Administration

While following programs have 35 seats
· English
· Fine Arts
· Islamic Studies

Do you provide hostel facility?
Ans. Yes FJWU provides the hostel facility, which is fully furnished with basic necessities available.

Is the hostel situated within the University premises or not?
Ans. The main university hostel situated in the building rest house only a few yards away from the university campus. While the university hostels, which are self-supporting rented accommodations, are located close to the university campus.

17. Is there any criterion for availing the hostel facility?
Ans. Yes, hostel facility is available on the basis of distance of hometown.

18. Is there semester system or annual system at FJWU?
Ans. There is semester system for each program.

19. How many semesters are there at under-graduate level?
Ans. As it is a four years degree program so there are 8 semesters for each program.

20. What is the duration for each semester?
Ans. The duration for each semester is about four to five months.

21. What type of test will be given?
Ans. General Aptitude test will be given for the admissions.

22. Is the test related to the specific subjects?
Ans. No except BSE (Bachelor in soft ware engineering) in which computer, physics and chemistry are also included.

23. Do you provide any sample of the test?
Ans. No, FJWU does not provide any sample of the test.

24. What is the time duration of the test?
Ans. The time duration of the test is almost 3 hours.

25. Is there any negative marking in the test?
Ans. No, there is no negative marking in the test.

26. Which documents are required at the time of test?
Ans. Original Identity card / B-form, Bank receipt of form are required.

27. What will be the test venue?
Ans. The test venue is FJWU campus.

Will there be a separate test for each program or it will be general?
Ans. No, there will be no separate test for each program but at the time of interview following programs have specific subject related test.

What percentage is required in test for appearing in the interview?
Ans. Almost 50 % is required in the test for appearing in the interview.

On which date the interview list is displayed?
Ans. The interview list is displayed according to the schedule.

What is the interview weightage?
Ans. The interview weightage is 10 %.

What is the duration of interview?
Ans. The duration of the interview almost 10 to 15 minutes but mostly depends on interviewers.

Are candidates required to bring all original documents at the time of interview?
Ans. Yes they are required to bring all original documents at the time of interview.

When the final list for successful candidates is displayed?
Ans. Final list for the successful candidates is displayed according to the decided schedule.

Does the university display a waiting list?
Ans. Yes, the university displays a waiting list.

What is the last date for the submission of fee for the first merit list?
Ans. Fee is submitted according to the decided scheduled. All dues are submitted in the First Women Bank branch at FJWU campus.

When the classes begin?
Ans. The classes begin in the month of January.

Is there any possibility to get admission during the semester?
Ans. No, there is no possibility to get admissions during the semester.

Do you provide any transport facility?
Ans. No, FJWU does not provide transport facility to the students, but there are many private vans coming from different areas of Rawalpindi & Islamabad and there is also a Varan bus stop right outside the University so the students can easily manage conveyance problem.

What was the last merit for Admissions at FJWU?
Ans. The last merit for admissions at FJWU varies from year to year.

Is there any option for private admissions?
Ans. No, there is no option for private admissions at FJWU.

Is there any facility of fee concession?
Ans.Yes, there is a facility of fee concession in the form of scholar ship.

Do you provide scholar ship for needy students?
Ans. Yes, FJWU provides scholar ship for needy students.

Is there any merit scholarship?
Ans. No, there is no merit scholar ship at FJWU.

What is the schedule of classes?
Ans. The schedule of classes are from 8.00 am to 3.00pm. But it varies according to the need of the instructor.

Do you facilitate the married students having children?
Ans. Yes, FJWU provides Day Care facility to the children of married students. Well-trained staff is there to look after the children in an environment of affection and care.

Do you provide any information regarding admissions on your website?
