| Masters Degree Program: |
A student at Graduate level (Duration 2 1/2 Years) shall have to complete 72 credit hours (Theory: 66 and Thesis: 6), Community work (20 contact hours) and internship for 6-8 weeks and attain a minimum CGPA of 2.5 |

| Bachelors Degree Program: |
A student at Undergraduate level shall have to complete 158 credit hours (Theory: 152 and Thesis: 6) for Bachelors of Computer Arts (BCA); 153 credit hours (Theory: 147 and Thesis: 6) for Bachelors of Software Engineering BS(SE); 136 credit hours (Theory: 130 and Thesis: 6) for Bachelor's programs.
In addition community work (20 contact hours) and internship for 6-8 weeks shall be a compulsory component of all undergraduate/Bachelor's Degree programs and the required minimum CGPA shall be 2.5
All FJWU students have to study 4 core courses across all programs. This is in addition to their regular subject-specific curricula. |

| Core Courses |
| In line with the vision of the university, FJWU also offers four core courses to the students, which are compulsory for the completion of their respective degree. |

| This ensures an increased awareness and understanding of being a woman. It spans all aspects of women's life to enable them to become an active and contributing part of society. |
|
This orients students to think and work with numbers and quantities. Basic and Advanced Statistics form a part of this course. It is used as a tool for research projects in later semesters. |
|
| It familiarizes students with the usage of computers and various basic packages, which can be utilized later for something as basic as a class assignment to something as advanced as a research project. |
- Language Skills & Research Report Writing

| It is a combination, which not only brushes up their verbal & written expression but also trains students as scientists with critical, analytical skills. The aim is to enable students to judge a literary piece of work with an unbiased approach, thus producing students who can compete in the world market by analyzing already available data in thier respective fields as well as produce culturally relevant material. |

| Registration |
| Students have to complete registration formalities before the commencement of each semester, as per schedule notified by the registrar's Office. Any late registrations are subject to availability of seats in that course and liable to payment of fine. |

| Probation and Dropout |
| FJWU expects that all her students should be at a high academics padestal. To remain a student of good standing students are required to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. Any student who attains a GPA below 2.5 but above 1.75 shall be put on probation. A probationary is given a reduced course load of 9 credit hours only. |

| Evaluation System |
| The performance of students shall be evaluated in each course according to the course requirements. Mid-terms, home assignments, quizzes, attendance, projects, presentations, viva voce, jury, final exam/final project as well as class participation (max 10%) shall be the means of students' evaluations. |

| Grades |
| Grades ar allocated to a student according to her performance in any course. FJWU's Grading System is based on "Marking by the Curve Rules" as practised in the leading universities at home and abroad. |

| Transfer |
Transfer from one Department to another within FJWU is allowed within the first two weeks of the first semester only. Transfer is possible only to those departments in which students had initially applied and subject to eligibility and availability of seats in the respective departments. Students have to pay Transfer Charges if they apply for a transfer.
